Why PONY?

Maple Valley P.O.N.Y. Baseball (MVPBA) has offered a baseball program for the area's youth since 1971. MVPBA is a member of the national organization, P.O.N.Y. Baseball, Inc. P.O.N.Y. is an acronym for Protect Our Nation's Youth. P.O.N.Y. baseball differs from other baseball leagues in the following ways:

  • Two year age bracketing
  • Age specific diamond sizes
  • Play by Major Leaue Baseball rules
  • Offer summer "All Star" tournament play
  • Four year olds can play
  • 6U is coach pitch (not T-ball)
  • 8U is coach and kid pitch
  • 22-26 game season.
